Comments from Paul Martin:
Burgh House is an 18th Century Queen Anne Grade I listed house in the heart of Hampstead and is licensed for civil marriages. The panelled Music Room provides a unique and elegant setting for weddings.

I have enjoyed the opportunity of photographing small weddings and dinner receptions at Burgh House. Outside Burgh House and in the surrounding streets, there are characterful location for photographing groom and best men on the neighbouring cobbled streets; the surrounding buildings and relics provided a timely reminder of the historical past of this affluent London suburb. Civil Marriage Ceremony takes place in the music room, with a drinks reception following in adjoining rooms. The characterful atmosphere of the house is conducive for a pleasing photographic record. Though limited space, there is sufficient room indoors to produce creative portraits and small groups. The steps at the main entrance to the house provides a perfect situation for larger groups and for bride & groom portraiture.

In summary, I recommend Burgh House as an ideal venue for a small civil wedding and dinner reception in Hampstead, and a location where you are assured of memorable wedding photographs. Photographs appearing below are from 2 previous weddings I have photographed at Burgh House.
