Comments from Paul Martin:
The Parish Church of Saint John the Baptist, lies at the heart of the beautiful Buckinghamshire Village of Little Marlow in the Thames Valley. The Church is just a short walk from the river itself and next to the manor house. The original construction of the church is Norman, dating from the final years of the 12th Century. The majority of the building was constructed during the 14th and 15th Centuries.

As a wedding venue, the Parish Church of Saint John the Baptist has alot to offer. I recently photographed a wedding on a beautiful autumnal day. Although the Church yard is littered with many tombstones, there are suitable locations by the gate, and on Church Road itself, which provides a suitable backdrop for both informal and posed photographs. A nearby pub st the top of Church Road, is suiatble starting point for photographs of the groomsmen!. There are areas within the Church yard which are good, most notably along the pathway between the gate and the Church, and at the back entrance.

Inside, the Church is characterised by many beautiful stain glass windows. Although natural lighting is poor, I was able to obtain some good non-intrusive photographic coverage from the back utilising my tripod. The balcony, where the organist sits, also provides a great ‘birds eye’ view of the alter. Highlights of my recent wedding at Saint John the Baptist, show the range of options for producing memorable wedding photographs.

In summary, St. John the Baptist is a lovely Church in Marlow, Buckinghamshire for weddings.
