Comments from Paul Martin:
The Georgian manor of Finchcocks houses the magnificent Richard Burnett collection of historical keyboard instruments. The manor is noted for its outstanding brickwork, with a dramatic front elevation attributed to Thomas Archer. Named after the family who lived on the site in the 13th century, the present house was built in 1725 for barrister Edward Bathurst, kinsman to Earl Bathurst. Despite having changed hands many times, it has undergone remarkably little alteration and retains most of its original features.

The beautiful grounds, with their extensive views over parkland and hop gardens, include the newly restored walled garden, which provides a dramatic setting for special events.

Paul Martin enjoyed the opportunity of photographing a wedding at Finchcocks in 2003 and was able to produce stunning portraits both inside and outside. Finchcocks is equiped to stage wedding dinners in the temporary giant marque, erected during the summer months. Needless to say, Finchcocks is a fantastic venue for wedding photography.
