Comments from Paul Martin:
Built in 1870, Grim’s Dyke has a rich heritage and is famous for its association with the librettist, Sir William Schwenck Gilbert, the writing half of the Gilbert & Sullivan partnership, who lived in the house from 1890 to his death in 1911. Inn 1970, when it was converted into a hotel, Grim’s Dyke was designated a building of special architectural and historical interest. The present owners took over the property in 1996 when the Grade II listed building was extensively restored and refurbished tastefully in the country house style.

The opportunities for photography are excellent throughout the Hotel and surrounding gardens. The terraced gardens are very impressive and there lovely vistas for group photographs, and for creative bride and groom portraits, particularly by the small river in the wooded area. Needless to say, Grim’s Dyke is a fantastic venue for wedding photography, and one of my favourites.

Grim’s Dyke Hotel have a complete portfolio of my most recent wedding photographed at this beautiful venue. Ealing photographer Paul Martin, is situated nearby.
