Comments from Paul Martin:
Grovefield Hotel is an Edwardian Country House nestled in seven acres of landscaped gardens. It has 40 bedrooms including Four Posters and Half Testers and an Award Winning Hamiltons Restaurant. Conveniently situated close to commercial centres of Slough, Maidenhead, High Wycombe and Marlow, Grovefield House is an ideal venue for your wedding, conference or dinner banquet.

Very recently I enjoyed the opportunity of photographing a small civil marriage ceremony at Grovefield House. The ceremomy took place in a tastefully appointed room, overlooking a section extensive lawn that surrounds Grovefield House. The lawns and trees provided me ideal opportunties for varied and creative photographs of the bride & groom, informal and group photographs of their guests. Owing to the impact of a prolonged summer drought, the lawn was not at its usual best. Never the less, I was able to find good locations: the main features being the bench under tree by flower garden, the spiralling stair case fire exit (great for doing group photographs), and, the Geogian building itself provided a suitable backdrop.

Although Grovefield House caters for wedding dinners, on this occassion, the bride & groom and their guests proceeded on to the Chequers Inn near Wooburn Green. Photographic highlights of my coverage of this wedding at Grovefiled House will appear shortly.
