Comments from Paul Martin:
Hendon Reform is an active synagogue in North West London. Originally founded in the 1950’s, the synagogue moved to its present site in 1968.

Although I frequently photograph Jewish wedding events, I have only previously covered one wedding at Hendon Reform Synangogue. Opportunities for outdoor photography (groups etc) is limited as there is no suitable area. However, inside the Synagogue, what was most pleasing for me as a photographer, was the quality of daylight which was adequate to produce some lovely candid photographs of the marriage ceremony under the Chupah without employing the use of flash photography. In particular, the balcony was a very suitable location from which I secured very good non-intrusive action photographs. The wedding reception and dinner followed at a central London hotel where I was able to continue with my largely documentary coverage of this wedding celebration.
