Comments from Paul Martin:
St Mary’s Parish Church, Hampton is part of the Anglican family of Christians. The site upon which this Church is built is said to be that of a Romano British Chapel. A house of worship has stood here for at least 600 years, as historical records begin in 1342; the present Church was built in 1830-31.

St. Mary’s Parish Church Hampton is a beautiful building with characteristic period features, stain glass windows etc.; it also benefits from very good lighting. Thus, from a photographic perspective, it is possible to achieve good informal and unobtrusive coverage of a wedding ceremony.

Although there is limited space outside for group photographs, there is a small park area and lawn on the opposite side of the road, with impressive panorama’s of Thames. the opprotunities for creative bride and groom photographs is very good here, and, I would stongly recommend if you are not able to consider group photography here, that you allocate mere 10 minutes for bridal couple portraits. In so doing, you are assured of memorable photographs capturing the local environment.

In due course, a more elaborate commentary and photographs will be added. Needless to say, purely from a photographic perspective, I think that St. Mary’s is a fantastic Church as wedding venue in Hampton area.
