Comments from Paul Martin:
The Parish Church of Burnham has played an important part in the history of this locality for over a thousand years. Burnham was mentioned in the Doomsday Book (1086) and forms part of the Chiltern Hundreds, which comprise Burnham, Desborough and Stoke. It is probable that the present building was started in the reign of Stephen (1134-54, and has undergone restoration through time, the most recent being the Reredos, which began in December 2003 and was completed in time for Easter 2004.

Given it’s rich heritage, the Church has much character, the stonework and beautiful stain glass windows in particular. There is good day light filtering through, thus allowing for non-intrusive photographic coverage. I was able to capture some pleasing wedding photographs of the marriage ceremony. Out side, opportunities are rather limited owing to the numerous tombstones littered throughout. However, there are suitable locations at both entrances. Highlights of my most recent wedding appear below.

In summary, St. Peter’s Church Burnham, is a lovely wedding venue in Burnham, and for beautiful photography.
