Comments from Paul Martin:
The Trafalgar Tavern in historic Greenwich is a fantastic venue for your wedding day. Built in 1837 the Trafalgar Tavern is swathed in history, once frequented by the likes of Charles Dickens, who wrote about a wedding breakfast held in the Trafalgar in his novel ‘Our Mutual Friend’.

The Trafalgar Tavern is known for its Whitebaite dinners, once enjoyed by Prime Minister Gladstone. These dinners are held annually, making Whitebaite one of the most popular choices.

The Regency Style Ballroom has panoraomic views acroos the river Thames and is only minutes walk away from Greenwich Royal Park giving spectacular photographic opportunities.

The Banqueting Suite also boasts its own Ante Room and Private Bar, representative of parts of a old ship, making it an ideal location for both formal and informal occasions.

I thoroughly enjoyed photographing a small wedding ceremony and reception at the Trafalgar, capturing some great journalistic style photographs of the ceremony and wedding dinner. My task was made all the more better by virtue of good available daylight. Thus, I was able to produce many non-intrusive images without employing the use of flash photography. There are numerous good locations inside and outside for producing memorable images, with a distinct feel to this unique and historic area of London. To this end, I recommend the Trafalgar Tavern very highly as a fantastic venue for weddings and for memorable photography.
